5 must stay Air Bnbs in Joshua Tree
If you’re in search of a unique and captivating desert experience, look no further than Joshua Tree, California. Located in the southeastern part of the state, Joshua Tree is a mesmerizing desert town renowned for its distinctive landscapes and tranquil vibes. With stunning rock formations, star-filled night skies, and an array of outdoor activities, Joshua Tree is a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. It’s got that small town, hippie type vibe with crystal shops, vegan food, and antique stores. It’s an excellent little weekend getaway from LA. My friends and I go to Joshua Tree to celebrate birthdays or have theme parties. It’s just so much fun!
Where is Joshua Tree?
Joshua Tree is situated in Southern California, approximately two and a half hours east of Los Angeles. It’s past, but near to Palm Springs. The town is the gateway to Joshua Tree National Park, a desert wonderland where the Mojave and Colorado Deserts meet. This park is home to unique Joshua Trees, rugged mountains, an abundance of wildlife, and of course numerous really unique and fun Air bnbs. Towns nearby that are also cute and fit the vibe and aestetic are 29 Palms, pioneer town and Yucca Valley.
What to Do in Joshua Tree:
Hiking and Rock Climbing: Explore the numerous hiking trails that wind through the park, offering breathtaking views and opportunities for rock climbing. The Hidden Valley Trail and Barker Dam Trail are popular choices. Great photo ops but pack your sunscreen and lots of water as it gets extreamely hot.
Stargazing: Joshua Tree National Park is a designated Dark Sky Park, making it a haven for stargazers. Head out at night to witness the Milky Way and a dazzling display of stars. This is also the case for all air bnbs I’ve listed, I think the very best for stargazing was the airstream that was located in the most traquil and desolate area.
Photography: With its distinctive landscapes, Joshua Tree is a paradise for photographers. Capture the surreal beauty of the Joshua Trees against the backdrop of the rugged terrain. The sunsets are also so incredible! I’ve been to Joshua tree almost ten times in the last few years and the sunsets are my favorite parts of it.
Art and Culture: Visit the Joshua Tree Music Festival or explore the local art scene. The town is known for its vibrant creative community.
Shopping and Dining: Joshua Tree offers charming boutiques and unique dining experiences. Don’t miss the chance to savor delicious food at local eateries like Joshua Tree Saloon, Pappy and Harriets, (Pioneer town), Kitchen in the Desert, (my personal fav), and Tiny Pony (Yucca valley) and Food for Thought Cafe.
