My travels around the world have taken me from the familiar streets of small-town Iowa, to the glitzy city of angels and far beyond. Along the way, I’ve explored vibrant cities, remote islands, and everything in between. I’ve stayed at some of the most unique and luxurious hotels in the world, and flown some of the best seats in the sky, but the most meaningful part of my travel journey has been the people I’ve met, especially the women whose voices and stories stay with me long after I’ve left a place. This space is where I share both my own incredible experiences im truly so grateful for, and the experiences of women who are navigating life with grit, honesty, and purpose. Together, we’ll uncover places that inspire, and the people who make them unforgettable.

Hey everyone, i’m katy and welcome to my blog.
I’m Katy! A Midwest girl who found herself in the fast paced world of Los Angeles with a background in fitness, dance, and a degree in criminal justice. Life however, had other plans, and during a college spring break trip to LA, an unexpected encounter with a photographer led me into the crazy world of modeling.
What followed was a whirlwind. I appeared on the covers of magazines like Maxim, MAX, and FHM, with features in Glamour, GQ, Men’s Health, People, Sports Illustrated, and more. I traveled the world working in places such as China, Mexico, France, Armenia, Indonesia, Scotland, London, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and The Caribbean.
While those experiences opened incredible doors, my deeper passion has always been about impact. I’ve proudly worked as an advocate for PETA, and became a field advocate for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention after a very deep personal loss to suicide.
Eventually, I launched One Model Mission, a global storytelling project focused on sharing the voices of women from around the world, their challenges, cultures, and hopes for the future. It’s been the most meaningful part of my journey so far.
I also created this wonderful travel blog back in 2018, originally called, “One Model Mission” where I showcase not only the incredible beauty the world has to offer, but the incredible love and kindness the people in it have to offer.
